How do I pay for your services?
Cash, Check or Credit / Debit
Payment is due at the time of service. Check or Credit / Debit may be left at the property on the day of service.
*For commercial services we also offer billing/invoice payment options
Do I have to be home for your visits?
No. If you will not be home then other arrangements will need to be made so we can enter the property. This includes leaving a key under the doormat or an access to to a side door or garage door. Please note that Meg's House Cleaning Services does not keep a key to the house once we leave. The key will be put back where it is found and will remain in the customer's possession.
Are pets in the home OK?
Absolutely! As long as the pet is alright with us being in the home. If the animal is not comfortable with our presence, we request that the animal be confined to another area, crated, etc. We are pet friendly and do our best to work around your pets needs also.
Is a contract necessary?
No. Although scheduled cleanings are encouraged, Meg's House Cleaning Services also offers one time special/event cleanings.
Are you Insured?
Yes we are insured.
Who supplies the cleaning products?
Most of our customers prefer us to use their own supplies, since they may have a favorite brand they use or have known allergies to other cleaners. However, we are always fully stocked with our own supplies at each visit. Please let us know if special cleaning accommodations need to be made.
Will the same employee clean my home each time?
We will send the same employee to your home each time cleaning is scheduled. In some circumstances we may have to send a different employee.
How long will it take your company to clean my home?
Our cleaning services usually take an average of 2-3 hours, to clean a 3 bedroom, and 2 bathroom, however time varies depending on the size, condition of the home and special requests.
Do I have to do anything before my scheduled cleaning?
If you take a few minutes to pick up your clothing, toys, and household items, then the employees can concentrate more on cleaning.
What if I wish/need to cancel my appointment for the upcoming week?
We understand that people get sick or have emergencies that they need to take care of. There is never a fee or penalty or cancelling your appointment. We do ask that you give us as much notice as possible so we can reschedule your cleaning at a later date.
What if I decide to go on vacation?
Please give us as much notice as possible and to let us know if you would like to suspend your cleaning while you are away. If you'd like us to continue, we can also pick up the mail, water house plants, feed pets if they are home, turn lights on or off and such as needed until you return home.
Is there anything your team won't clean?
yes for sanitary reasons, body fluids of human besides in the toilet, or animals.
How are commercial or rental properties charged?
Each property is evaluated individually based on size, area, cleanliness and supplies needed. If water or electricity is not available on the property, additional charges may apply.
What if the utilities are off for the scheduled cleaning?
if the utilities are not on, you will need to reschedule when they are back on.
Am I charged for canceling my scheduled cleaning?
If you call at least 24 hours in advanced you will not owe a fee. If you cancel the same day you will be charged a fee.
What happens if your scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday?
If your schedule cleaning falls on a national holiday, we will call you and reschedule your cleaning.
